Leveraging a career spanning multiple industries and roles, Beth Bowen brings her writing and editing skills to Vanguard as a Communications Manager. From financial services to manufacturing to utilities, Beth has communicated, trained, and networked in work places large and small around the Lansing area for the past twenty years.
In 2018, Beth left paid employment to run for State office. What she learned on the campaign trail ignited a passion to apply her skills to advocacy. With deep personal connections to public education, public health, and women's reproductive freedom, Beth brings her experiences in technical writing and instructional design to bear on the need for clear, expansive--sometimes instructive--public relations for progressive issues.
Beth believes in the power of story-telling, smart design, and thoughtful framing in communication. She lives in Delta Township with her husband, two children (Sam, 11, and Elle, 6), and her Labrador Retriever, Otis. On nice days, she walks to Horrock's from her home, which is a thoroughly Lansing outing.
