We are excited to announce the addition of national communications professional Sacha Haworth as a senior consultant. Haworth, who is primarily based in the Washington, DC area, will handle communications activities and content management for a number of key Vanguard clients.
“Sacha and I met just this past year while working together on a Michigan congressional race and I was impressed with her background and public relations skills on the campaign trail,” said TJ Bucholz, Vanguard President and CEO. “Sacha’s experience, knowledge of the Midwest, and its political landscape will prove beneficial to many of our current and prospective clients.”
Haworth is a seasoned communications professional who has worked on nearly every facet of modern political campaigns. Over the past seven years, she ran the communications shop for U.S. Rep. Rick Nolan's (MN-08) successful 2014 reelection – one of the most competitive of the cycle –knocking doors and throwing GOTV rallies as a Field Organizer on a gubernatorial race in Minnesota, and organizing citywide pop-up events as Communications Director on a mayoral race in San Francisco.
Haworth holds a Master's in Public Policy from Georgetown University's McCourt School, writing her thesis on the effect of ballot measures on voter turnout while working full-time in Rep. Nolan's Washington, D.C., congressional office.
Most recently, in a nod to her beloved Midwest, Haworth served as the Great Lakes Regional Press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), advising over a dozen of the most competitive congressional campaigns in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, and Indiana, serving as a spokeswoman for the DCCC for national and local media.
In addition to having a passion for politics, she is fluent in French and has lived and worked in Uganda, Rwanda, and Paris, France.
